End Chemical Abortions

While we continue to see a decline in surgical abortions across America, we are witnessing a dramatic increase in chemical abortions.

Chemical abortions account for 54% of all abortions – up from 39% in 2017 – according to the Guttmacher Institute.

In light of these alarming statistics, we are launching a National Campaign:

#BanChemicalAbortions and #ProLifeProGreen

Our goal is to end chemical abortions through public engagement, education, public policy, and legislation. We must stand against this barbaric practice that destroys human life and harms women as well as our environment.

How will we end chemical abortions?

  • Ensure all states with trigger laws in place to ban abortions when Roe v. Wade is overturned will treat chemical abortions in the same way as surgical abortions.

  • Draft model legislation for states to ban chemical abortions.

  • Organize public rallies and demonstrations across the country calling for a ban of chemical abortions.

  • Work with legislators on environmental laws to prevent children who have been killed through chemical abortions from being flushed into local sewage and drainage systems.

  • Provide educational materials for pro-life organizations and churches regarding the harmful effects of chemical abortions.

  • Work with federal, state and local pro-life politicians on detailed public statements regarding banning chemical abortions.

Standing with the suffragists

The Stanton Public Policy Center is a women’s advocacy and educational movement that works on issues of human rights and justice that empower and inspire women. It is affiliated with Stanton Healthcare which has life-affirming women’s health clinics in America and internationally.

Stanton Public Policy draws great inspiration from our founding sisters in the suffragist movement who heroically fought in the public square for equality and ensuring that all women would have the right to vote. Brave women like Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were tireless advocates working and speaking out against the injustice of treating women like second class citizens.

Through their dedication, passion and commitment, on August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment passed giving women the right to vote! 2020 marked the centennial of enshrining this fundamental right in our Constitution, inspiring the launch of Purple Sash Revolution.

Today, America is facing another battle regarding a great social injustice and human rights violation: abortion violence and the tragic impact it has on our nation and women.

Just as our sisters would not be silent 100 years ago, so we will not be silent on the issue of abortion today!

We unite with our sister Susan B. Anthony as she stood against the violence of abortion and declared,

"I deplore the horrible crime of child-murder… No matter what the motive."

What is the
Purple Sash Revolution?

Following in the footsteps of these extraordinary women, Stanton Public Policy Center launched the #PurpleSashRevolution campaign in January, 2020 at the March for Life in Washington, DC.

Wearing purple sashes and proclaiming the powerful message of “Equal Rights for Preborn Women”, we challenged Speaker Nancy Pelosi to allow a vote in Congress on the Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation which she has blocked over 80 times.

The original suffragists wore sashes bearing the message “Votes for Women” in public to draw visible attention to the injustice of denying women the right to vote and to create a powerful image for their cause.

In 2022, as we go out into the public square to stand against abortion violence and call for human rights for all, we are wearing our purple sashes!

The mother of seven children, Elizabeth Cady Stanton said this about infanticide:
"There must be a remedy for such a crying evil as this. But where shall it be found, at least begin, if not in the complete enfranchisement and elevation of women?"

Join with Stanton and the Purple Sash Revolution as we speak up for the elevation of all persons - born and preborn!

Through our witness,
the Purple Sash Revolution will create a powerful, prophetic picture for the world to see revealing how these innocent children have no rights or freedoms. As women, we cannot be silent on the violence of abortion, and our public engagement echoes the words of Nobel Peace Prize winner and Holocaust Survivor Elie Wiesel:
We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.
